PDF Basics is a free, browser-based PDF tool. All file processing happens entirely on your device — your files are never uploaded to our servers or transmitted over the network.
When you use PDF Basics, your PDF files are loaded and manipulated using client-side JavaScript in your browser. No file data leaves your device at any point. We do not have access to, store, or process your files on any server.
PDF Basics does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the service.
We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous page-view and event data (e.g. which tools are used). This helps us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Google Analytics does not have access to your PDF files or their contents.
PDF Basics is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We make no guarantees about the availability, reliability, or accuracy of the tools. Use the service at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PDF Basics and its maintainers shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to data loss or corruption of files.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of PDF Basics after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
